FOUNDATION HONORED AT THE
INSTITUTE of DIVERSIFICATION
GRADUATION IN SANTA CRUZ VERAPAZ

We observe below Santa Cruz Verapaz' Municipal Hall where people are gathering for the graduation of the Institute.
You should recall that a few months ago the Foundation had a very important project over several months at Santa Cruz' Urban School, which is an elementary school in the morning, and the  high school level  INSTITUTE of DIVERSIFICATION in the afternoon.

Due to that Foundation Project helping them improve their potable water system with an elevated water tank, and new stairways up to the school, our volunteer Regional Director, due to his devotion to the cause, was chosen  to preside over the ceremony and be the honored speaker.

Above and below we see him entering with the flags and the graduates.

Federico & the Foundation were honored and thanked to begin the ceremony with a special Diploma of Meritorious Service, as seen above, and then gave his speech to the group.

The Institute prepares the youth on their High School graduation with diplomas in their chosen career fields, either as Teachers, or Certified Public Accountants.

Federico then presented the diplomas to each of the graduates.

AURA'S MASTER'S THESIS PROJECT at
THE COBAN GARBAGE DUMP COMMUNITY

This unique project was initiated by a devote Catholic Priest, who  won the generous support of people from his faith from the U.S. and Europe.

We see them in these photographs meeting in their large Community Hall for a special meeting and lunch to begin the year end Holiday Season.

Aura was at the celebration, where she is now involved helping in the project and working on her Master's thesis that involves a study in nutrition and community organization to implement this crucial aspect of the lives of those living in the community.
Also in attendance was the Secretary of Labor from Guatemala's government, seen here with Aura.  This is a unique situation with a quite young Cakchiquel-Mayan from the Chimaltenango   area, where Patzicia is located, serving in the President of the Republic's Cabinet.

We ask all to help us give Aura the support in 2017 she needs to make an important contribution in this project, and finish her
Master's Degree in Social Work.
***********************
We likewise need everyone's help in other projects in Santa Cruz Verapaz, beginning in January with The School Supplies Projec
in which we will be providing school supplies for all the more than 5,000 children in
all the rural schools.
*************************
The Foundation will also aid for one more year the Ariel & Ines Andersen Chuluc Village School  by employing our Regional Director, Mario de la Cruz, as a teacher, and thereby help him finish  his Law Degree.
***********************
WE ARE WORKING HARD TOWARDS COMPLETING THE FOUNDATION'S
GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY YEAR
by August 2017 when the Foundation's mission will be completed.
PLEASE HELP ALL YOU CAN!
